On the other hand I've also read that bugs prefer blood with loads of sugar in it and I don't eat much sugar, but I'm not sure how scientific all that is. Just glad I didn't get bit!Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10239488936038510294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-258431463372570480.post-86542979477407865022014-08-06T09:22:52.480-05:002014-08-06T09:22:52.480-05:00I kept my To a Wild Rose bath powder box for _ages...I kept my To a Wild Rose bath powder box for _ages_ but I looked and don't still have it. At that stage it was my only source of makeup, and I loved the little gift items too. I remember a particular lipstick, a mauve/pink, to which I was addicted! When I was working one of the employees there sold Avon. Like Shelly, I liked Skin So Soft for the idea that it repelled mosquitoes. Funny, I was just thinking about it the other day and wishing I had some. I haven't seen an Avon Lady in years though.

DarlaDarlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02729017606957829830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-258431463372570480.post-40729358400803295282014-08-01T04:56:13.511-05:002014-08-01T04:56:13.511-05:00Hello Sanda

We have a girl in our village that still sells it. I buy something once in a while.. I think its a great product. I just don't buy that much make up these days, though I did recently buy some Skin-so-soft after reading it was good against midgies (fierce Scottish version of mosquitoes). We're packing up and heading for midgie country today - I'm itching already... My best friend in grade school was Mary Lou (I think we were closer to frenemies, looking back). Her mother Lola was an Avon lady. We got to play with her spare samples and we'd be 'beauty chemists' and make terrible messes mixing lotions and powders, but boy did they smell wonderful!Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10239488936038510294noreply@blogger.com
