Brings back great and not so great memories. The good ones are buying new fall clothes, going to the county fair and beginning of a new school year and seeing friends we had not communicated with since school let out in May, unless we sent a letter only a few miles away!Edith Kenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10064143456339054752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-258431463372570480.post-19767370945485828162012-10-27T21:34:05.356-05:002012-10-27T21:34:05.356-05:00We sure had good times, didn't we? And never mind the weaving and sewing that follows!sandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17355232032181406759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-258431463372570480.post-16719613709633071332012-10-27T18:42:24.756-05:002012-10-27T18:42:24.756-05:00Sanda, loved the cotton story!! Just like the song...."long for them old cotton fields and home." Thank you so much for documenting these wonderful old stories - can't wait for the book....:-) cuz AreedaAreedahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01109698170112913028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-258431463372570480.post-44584273170047708832012-10-27T18:41:21.246-05:002012-10-27T18:41:21.246-05:00I wear and use cotton so much and hardly give a th...I wear and use cotton so much and hardly give a thought to where it comes from - that it actually starts as a plant that grows. Even though the thermometer says 49 degrees F., the cold wind makes it feel like 30! Heat on tonight for first time this season. Hope you have had a sunny day by now.sandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17355232032181406759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-258431463372570480.post-79201336724334626032012-10-27T17:55:10.259-05:002012-10-27T17:55:10.259-05:00I think it's a lot about what's not famili...I think it's a lot about what's not familiar is fascinating. Cotton growing/picking is not fascinating to me because I've always been around it; it's the fabric of our lives (pardon the pun)! But realizing that others are interested/not familiar is the reason I chose to write a bit about it.
