Flowering Crabapple Tree as Seen by Instagram

#1
I have been experimenting with my iPhone camera using the Instagram App. You might say I have become a bit "obsessed" with seeing the different effects you can achieve. I wanted to share some of that with you today -- basically the same "shot" but with a different finish applied. I don't even know if that's the correct terminology, that is., "finish applied." All I know is you can preview and choose between 18 different looks. I guess I missed one! See what you think. Which one do you like best? Maybe it's not about which one you like best; I think it's a matter of what effect you're trying to achieve. #16 is amazing, no? You can make it autumn with a press of your finger! (Click on each picture to enlarge, but you already knew that, I'm sure.)

    1. Those are southern pine, aka Loblolly pine. The fencing does not, unfortunately, keep out rabbits, possums or skunks. I think they sneak under the gates. We are also having a real mole problem the last couple of years. Do you know how to get rid of moles? Sometimes the dogs dig holes because they know the moles are they, but don't seem to have much luck finding them. The fence is to give the dogs plenty of run space without having to worry about them too much. I don't particularly like the looks of it but it serves its purpose for the dogs.

  2. I like 13 or 17, since they both look sunnier. I get to upgrade my phone in May and that model iphone is what my husband and I are leaning toward.

    1. Go for the iPhone S4; Instagram is a free App you can download. I also have the SkyView app that does the same as one you mentioned in your blog: identifies all the constellations by pointing it to the sky. It's so neat!

  4. I like #1 and #8 - I think we've lost my sister to the "iphone" and all the fascinating things it does. Have fun- keep it up and keep life interesting for all of us.
