Sunday Lunch

Quiche with bacon, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers. A large pinch of Coleman's mustard powder and grated fresh nutmeg take it to another level.
Iced tea with lemon and fresh mint
Green salad of arugula and spring onions from the garden, rommaine, radishes, bell pepper, garlic, tarragon vinegar.

Love the planning, preparation and eating

but

the cleanup....not so much!

This is only what wouldn't fit into the dishwasher!

Apricot Nectar Cake with Almonds. To be glazed later with fresh lemon juice and confectioners sugar.

Happy Sunday!

  1. All of this looks so pretty and I can almost taste it. Even though I'm not hungry, if I walked it to your house and this was on the counter, I could eat! Looks wonderful

  2. It all looks delicious! I see you use a salad spinner too. Aren't they the best invention? I wish I had made a cake like that today. I'm still eating the Kolaches from yesterday.

    1. That salad spinner is one piece of kitchen equipment I would not want to do without. I am a kitchen gadget person and have purchased many mistakes. The latest in that category is a Soda Stream. I love Kolaches. I was on a Kolache making spree a few years ago!

  3. I´d be totally happy with only the salad!
Yes, the cleaning up, not so much fun. Do the dishes in the picture tolerate dishwasher? If they do, then another round for them..

    1. Hi Mette
The salad alone would do me fine as well. But my husband usually likes a little something more And I do like quiche or anything with eggs.

    2. The salad alone would be fine for me but my husband usually likes something a bit more substantial. And if I make it I just have to have some!

    1. Hi Ida,
I make quiche quite a bit as well. Take the basic recipe of eggs, milk, cheese and add whatever I'm in the mood for or whatever's on hand.
