Breakfast at Tiffany's is a 1961 American romantic comedy film starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. The film is loosely based on the novella of the same name by Truman Capote. |
Tiffany Blue. Such a lovely color, isn't it?
and the colloquial name for the
light medium robin egg blue color associated with Tiffany & Co.,
the New York City jewelry company.
The color was used on the cover of Tiffany's Blue Book,
first published in 1845.
Since then Tiffany & Co. has used the color extensively
on promotional materials, including boxes and bags.
This 1960s inspired dress would be perfect for the tea party, although you would be most appropriately attired in your little black dress, a la Audrey.
Don't forget to wear your pearls and long gloves
Diamond tiara
Dark sunglasses and a hat.
Go ahead and bring your children or grandchildren to the party today.
Pets are allowed as well, but make sure they are appropriately attired in Tiffany Blue.
Oh, and don't forget your nails follow the theme color as well!
Do come on under the tent and find your place.
Grab something refreshing to drink.
What could be more elegant than a Tiffany inspired macaroon?
Cupcakes.
More pretty things:
Tea sandwich on a Tiffany-colored cake-stand.
And these most elegant petit fours.
And a complimentary copy of Truman Capote's novella.
Wow...this is a delightful party...love the Tiffany blue and the incredibly graceful Audrey Hepburn...Happy Thursday to you dear Sanda!

ReplyDeleteEverything is so well thought and arranged at your tea party. I´d love to join, but I even lack the LBD, so would not like to show up and spoil your perfect arrangement.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your invitation!
I would have imagined you would have a LBD, Mette! But you could have attended anyway.
DeleteWhat a delicious selection of Tiffany blue things; it quite makes my heart sing, Sanda! I'll be there in my little black dress, with the Tiffany blue nails, lots of pearls both real and fake, and just possibly my plastic fairy tiara. I know it's round here somewhere :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly were appropriately attired for the fete! I don't think I can go for blue nails, but they certainly seem to be popular these days! Every woman needs a tiara, real or plastic!
DeleteOh goodness, here it is Friday. I missed the party! I hope there is a cup of tea around somewhere and maybe a left over cupcake. We can sit around in our gardening clothes today and you can tell me all about the party.
ReplyDeleteDarla
I saved a cup of tea and a cupcake for you Darla, which tastes just as good in our gardening clothes!
